Hildegard Glös / Martina Wolter-Kampmann
Gammelby (D) 2016, 56 pp. + 1 pattern sheet, 27×21 cm, paperback
Text: German
After the unexpected death of Hildegard Glös, Martina Wolter-Kampmann was good enough to take on the still incomplete book project.

The publication begins with a detailed introduction to the technique of the popular Chrysanthemum lace. Then follow 26 patterns for you to work. They are for smaller motifs like butterflies, hearts, droplets or numbers for anniversary greetings, also a mat 26 cm in diameter.

During her many years of work with Chrysanthemum lace, Hildegard Glös also found a method of giving the lace a three-dimensional structure by looping the tape in such a way that it rises above the rest of the lace surface. The book includes two of these special models which are more suitable for advanced lacemakers.

At last something new for the many fans of chrysanthemum lace, but because of the section on technique, also a good opportunity for newcomers.
